Samsung has today revealed a new touch-enabled external monitor, which has been optimised for PCs and laptops running the new Windows 8 operating system.
The full HD 1920 x 1080, 24-inch Series 7 Touch (SC770) features 10-finger multi-touch, enabling users to make use of the array of Windows 8 multi-touch gestures like pinching, dragging, selecting and rotating objects.
The Series 7 Touch boasts impressive 178 degree viewing angles and has an adjustable stand that can tilt 60 degrees based on user preferences. It will go on display at the CES expo in Las Vegas, which begins next week.
Alongside the SC770 is the SC750, which does not offer touchscreen capabilities, but boasts improved brightness, the same HD screen resolution and the ability to flip the monitor into portrait mode if the user so desires.
Samsung is yet to announce release dates or pricing for the Series 7 monitors, but were sure to find out more when we hit the Samsung stand at CES 2013 next week. Stay tuned.
